Welcome to Mid South Eventing & Dressage Website

Welcome to MSEDA's new website! I know all of you will enjoy using the features this new site offers us. Just as a start, competitions can now post their entry forms and show bills here. That should be a great service for our members, as well as our Organizers. The calendar is another feature that will be well used. There is a lot more in store for us as new features and options are made available. Are you interested in joining?  Click here for the 2012 Membership Application

One, Two, Three Day Event – Part 3 by Cheryl Steele

I know this article was originally titled “One, Two, Three Day Event” but this week started out as a five day event. Janice Holmes, Christine Hayner and I had the four horse trailer packed and ready to go Tuesday evening. The plan was to take Irish Whiskey and Sloan Ranger along with Just Charlie and T C Sacred Holly down to the Kentucky Horse Park Wednesday morning. We wanted to get them settled in before the T-3D clinic activities briefing which was scheduled for 11:30 am.

Kentucky Equine Survey Launches

A University of Kentucky (UK) College of Agriculture-led study aims to accurately assess the number of horses in Kentucky and their economic impact--fundamental pieces of information currently unavailable to those who need it.

UK's Equine Initiative, in conjunction with the University of Louisville's (UofL) Equine Business Program and the Kentucky field office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, and in partnership with the Kentucky Horse Council (KHC), will conduct a statewide comprehensive survey of all horse breeds in 2012. The last comprehensive study of this kind was conducted in 1977.
