SHOW JUMPING ENTHUSIASTS-Mark your calendars for the 2009 Hagyard Challenge Series World Cup Jumping Qualifier honoring Betsy Fishback on September 18, 2009 at The Kentucky Horse Park. This will be the first Grand Prix in the new indoor arena.  Hagyard Equine Medical Institute and the Markey Cancer Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual Gala honoring Betsy Fishback, one of the true champions of the sport horse world. Betsy lost her battle with breast cancer in January of this year. Her husband Dr. David Fishback has been with Hagyard since 1975 and is renowned throughout the horse industry. The Hagyard Challenge is a series of seven Grand Prix events held throughout the summer. The World Cup Qualifier will be held on the evening of the 18th of September. The rider, who has accumulated the most points in the seven Grand Prix show jumping classes which make up the Hagyard Challenge Series, will be awarded a cash prize of $50,000.  Please hold this special date open and plan to join us as we celebrate Betsy, enjoy a gala evening of food and live auction, and experience the excitement of Grand Prix Show Jumping with the proceeds all going to support cancer patient care and research at the Markey Cancer Center. More information will follow soon. We look forward to seeing you there!
