Join MidSouth Eventing & Dressage Association
Dressage and eventing are, obviously, the disciplines that attract MidSouth members but with more than 400 spread over a five state area, it’s no surprise that MidSouth members encompass a lively variety of equestrian interests. Related realms range from sport horse breeding to mounted games competition, fox hunting and driving, musical freestyles and equine therapies.

MidSouth members are frequently among the forefront of competitors, owners, breeders, trainers, course designers, show managers and – always – volunteers in the region.
The most visible programs are our two horse shows, Team Challenge and Three Day Event, and Dressage at the Park. Each a substantial project and source of pride. Behind the glamour – and hard work – of show management stands a firm commitment to the welfare of the horse. Emphasis on education includes national caliber speakers on veterinary and related topics at our annual meeting and awards ceremonies and a scholarship program that focuses on continuing education in horse management and training. Outreach is geared to young riders of the region with a commitment to partnerships with area Pony Clubs and 4-H groups.

The membership and programs of MidSouth tend to cluster around the Lexington, Kentucky area, a natural nexus with its powerhouse of facilities like the Kentucky Horse Park and the location there of national organization headquarters, including United States Equestrian Federation, United States Dressage Federation, the U.S. Pony Clubs and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. The MidSouth region enjoys other public equine facilities such as the Hoosier Horse Park near Indianapolis, the Buckeye Horse Park in southern Ohio and Masterson’s Station Park in Lexington as well as a remarkable depth in substantial stables and training facilities.
