His worldwide bestselling manual, The Complete Horse, introduced his highly praised concept of "Constants & Variables". Not only did he find Karen and David O'Connor's three great Olympic medalists, Biko, Custom Made and Giltedge, he also bred Mandiba, the World Breeding Federation event 2010 Horse of the Year. He is a Fellow of the British Horse Society, a Coaching Ireland Tutor, and a columnist for The Chronicle of the Horse and Eventing USA.
